After returning from the Middle East, he spent a day in Washington DC taking in the sights. It was a special day considering he just returned from spending weeks with troops serving overseas. He landed in Minneapolis just in time to drive to his college town of Madison, Wisconsin for the Wisconsin vs. Nebraska Football Game. After a great Wisconsin victory, he returned to Minnesota and headed north, where he put a 100 mile bike ride in which ended at the tip of Lake Superior. Then he, his brother Zach and their producer Michael Bland (Prince, Dixie Chicks, Soul Asylum, Jonny Lang, etc) had a celebratory car lunch and listened to the new record in their car (hey-every musician knows that the car test is the final test!) <br><br> And he just found out he will be singing the national anthem for the national NASCAR rack on Nov. 13th in Phoenix and it will be broadcast live on ESPN. After a ride back along the Mississippi, it was a quick rehearsal with his band and then off to LA to talk about some potential TV show opportunities. One of his meetings was actually with Jesse Dylan, bob's son! Eric quickly developed a passion for music at 10 years old, when he seen his first radio morning show and decided at that moment he wanted to become a DJ. At 15 he started learning the art form and spinning records at neighborhood parties, using his bedroom as the training ground for expert mixing. By the time he reached high school, he was well on his way to performing at block parties and doing production at a local commercial radio station. It was not just Eric's ear for good music that had the party moving, but his mastery of scratching techniques, and his ability to produce remarkable remixes of the hottest songs on the radio. Soon he became well know in Boston as a radio talent, as well as spinning at clubs all over the city. It was through these shows and his desire to take it to the next level, that he moved to Atlanta and exploded onto the club scene. His skills as a premier DJ, landed him a job with Arista, MCA, and ultimately RCA records as a music representative. Shortly thereafter, BMG (Bertelsmann Music Group) came calling to hire Eric as a FMR - (Field Marketing Rep) in Charlotte, NC. His first promo tour was with the smash recording artist "Outkast". Andre' Benjamin and Antwan Patton quickly took a liking to Eric as their BMG rep., and began a close friendship. <br /><br /><br /> Since leaving BMG, "Premier DJ E-Luv" has carved his niche as one of the East Coast's most superb talents, remixing artists such a Toni Braxton, and releasing a double cd "Love In Heaven" / "Funk On Earth". E-Luv has a polished style, giving him top billing and sharing dates with some of the worlds best DJ / Producers in Adam Freeland, Scott Henry, and Sharaz. Today Eric owns and successfully runs a professional company, Next Level DJ Service and is highly requested to perform for many celebrity events. We played our first show on Feb 22nd 2008 at The Gypsy Lounge in Lake Forest. We wanted to get our music in the hands of every person we knew, so we immediately recorded our first album. By August of 08 it was done and ready to be printed. The cd was recorded, mixed and mastered by Tony (the drummer) at his home studio. The self titled album was released on Sept 5th 2008 at The Mint in Los Angeles followed by a DIY west coast tour with Local Natives. We had so much fun and success on the road that we started planning a full USA tour the day we got back. A few months down the line we embarked on our journey across the United States. We left on Dec 27th 2008 and returned on Jan 28th 2009. Its been a year now and we are very pleased with where we are with our music.
